PROVEN ACCURACY IN WATER ACTIVITY MEASUREMENT: LABMASTER-AW NEO PERFORMANCE REPORT
In critical quality applications, water activity measurement is more than a routine laboratory parameter. It can influence decisions on product release, shelf life, chemical stability, microbial safety, packaging, and quality assurance. For this reason, accuracy, repeatability, and long-term measurement reliability are essential.
Novasina is known for highly reliable and precise water activity measurement technology. The objective is to provide confidence where measurement results support important quality and safety decisions.
The LabMaster-aw neo has been developed for applications where precision and reproducibility meet highest requirements, where small differences in water activity can affect stability assessments, specifications, and risk evaluation.
To provide additional transparency, a report was prepared by Dr. Brady Carter, a globally recognized expert in water activity measurement with decades of experience in the field. The report evaluates the LabMaster NEO using Novasina SAL-T standards across a broad water activity range. According to the report, the LabMaster NEO has a published accuracy of ±0.003 water activity and repeatability of ±0.001 water activity, and the independent testing confirmed that the instrument met and even exceeded these published specifications.
The evaluation included repeated measurements at several SAL-T reference points across the water activity range, including 0.113, 0.5757, 0.753, 0.843, and 0.973 water activity. The reported results showed accuracy values between 0.0005 and 0.0010 and repeatability values between 0.0005 and 0.0010 in the summary table.
For laboratories working with critical products, this level of performance supports reliable measurement decisions, stable quality processes, and confidence in day-to-day water activity testing.
